As a Water Hygiene Technician you will play a key role in keeping our Clients and Buildings safe in line with the ACOP and HSG 274. In this role you will be carrying out various monitoring and servicing activities across our client's property portfolio.

  • Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
  • Hours Per Week: Monday – Friday, 40 Hours

The Water Hygiene Technician will:

  • Monitoring inspections involving temperature testing of water outlets, TMVs maintenance, inspection of cold-water storage tanks and hot water storage vessels, water sample collection, showerhead disinfection and logbook auditing
  • Undertake monitoring and maintenance of building water services as part of a Legionella Control Program in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG 274
  • The inspections will be undertaken using a PDA and web based electronic logbook system
  • Undertake other water hygiene related tasks as required including Monitoring, Maintenance and support with Remediation works
  • The role will involve working in a multi-site capacity therefore you must be prepared to travel
  • The role could entail supporting the business in other areas as required

About You

Essential Criteria

1. Current Full UK Driver's Licence

2. Must be able to pass a DBS check

3. Demonstrate previous experience in a similar role related to planned maintenance checks completed in accordance with the ACOP L8 & HSG 274.

4. Confidence in the utilisation of software with good IT literacy

Desirable Criteria:

1. City & Guilds or similar accredited Legionella control training awareness training

2. Accredited training course on servicing and maintenance of thermostatic mixing valves

3. HSE approved training in confined spaces
