Are you a strategic HR leader ready to make a lasting impact? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Group HR Director to join our Leadership Team. Based in Newry, this pivotal role is responsible for shaping and executing our Group-wide HR strategy, driving innovation in people practices, and enhancing our position as an employer of choice.
About the Role As Group HR Director, you will lead and inspire a talented HR and Talent team, developing bespoke solutions across our Group companies. You will be instrumental in delivering key HR initiatives across the full employee lifecycle – from talent acquisition and development to employee engagement, culture, and HR operations.
You'll work closely with divisional Managing Directors, supporting strategic business goals while building a high-performing, future-ready workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the Group HR Strategy aligned with our business plan.
- Partner with the CEO and ELT to drive strategic HR decisions.
- Champion the continued digitisation of HR systems and data-driven decision-making.
- Manage the annual HR budget and support cost optimisation efforts across the Group.
- Build a positive and engaging employee experience and organisational culture.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years in a senior HR leadership role (Head of HR or HR Director level).
- MCIPD qualified (essential); Degree in HR, Business, or Occupational Psychology (desirable).
- Strong background in change management, HR digitisation, and employee engagement.
- Excellent leadership, collaboration, and strategic influencing skills.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
