Corporate Account Handler
About the role:
We are seeking someone to deliver excellent service and tailored insurance advice to new and existing clients, while supporting Account Executives with business growth and client retention.
You will build strong client relationships, ensure timely and compliant administration, and help clients achieve their goals while meeting regulatory requirements. This role balances outstanding service, business development, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and providing tailored insurance, risk management, and employee benefits solutions.
- Support Account Executives in driving business growth and client retention, collaborating to maximise opportunities and ensure client needs are met.
- Arrange and secure suitable insurance coverage, ensuring competitive pricing and clear communication of terms, renewals, and adjustments.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing across core systems, following company policies and proactively addressing issues.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Service Delivery, Finance, and Credit Control, to deliver optimal outcomes and resolve queries.
- Participate in meetings, training, and continuous improvement activities to maintain professional development and compliance.
- Liaise with Finance and Credit Control to promptly address and resolve queries.
- Participate in meetings, events, and training sessions to fulfil CPD requirements.
Experience & Attributes:
- Minimum of Cert CII qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Good understanding of the main classes of Commercial Insurance.
- A good understanding of Acturis or other Insurance IT platforms
- Good knowledge of the application of FCA compliance and regulatory requirements
- An understanding of current market conditions and emerging insurance demands and how they can be met from the PIB product suite
- Confident use of MS Office suite
- Organised & good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise according to client and business need and plan ahead to ensure SLAs are met.
- Excellent communications skills, being grammatically articulate when conversing with clients.
