Deputy Residential Childcare Manager Ilkeston, Derbyshire, DE7 £29,223 – £35,000 per Annum Plus Sleep In Payments ** PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT OFFER SPONSORSHIP** We are currently recruiting for our prestigious client who offer exceptional residential and childcare and education opportunities for young people ages 11 – 18 with complex speech, language and communication difficulties including autism and associated challenging behaviours. We are looking for someone with at 3 years’ experience within a similar setting and working knowledge of autism. You will have to hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential childcare or equivalent and must have a valid full UK driving license. The role is to assist in the management of the residential home, co-ordination and development of a range of quality services for the young people referred/accommodated within the home. The successful candidate will be expected to display a commitment to promoting the safeguarding and wellbeing of young people and to participate in all activities with the young people. Shift Patterns A combination of early shifts, late shifts and full days with occasional sleep ins (approx. one a week) Early 07:30am – 15:00pm Late 14:30pm – 22:00pm or Sleep in Full 07:30am – 22:00pm or sleep in Salary Starting at £29,233.48 Per Annum (£31,303.48 on Average including sleep-in payments) There is an annual salary uplift of £750 on successful completion of the first year in the role, with further £750 for completing a second year, with further increments offered in recognition of experience and additional responsibilities.
