Buyer / Senior Buyer Permanent Role: Buyer / Senior Buyer £40,000 – £65,000 p.a plus benefits based on experience CAREER OPPORTUNITY – LINCOLNSHIRE BASED RESIDENTIAL GROUNDWORKS COMPANY, LOOKING TO ADD A BUYER / SENIOR BUYER TO THEIR EXPANDING TEAM, VERY BUSY WITH UPCOMMING PROJECTS. Duties: -Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and services required for projects. -Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. -Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to achieve cost-effective deals. -Monitor and analyse market trends to anticipate changes in material costs and availability. -Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines. -Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations. -Manage inventory levels and logistics to optimize efficiency and minimise project delays. -Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary. Requirements: -Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role within the Residential Groundworks industry. -Solid understanding of materials, specifications, and supply chain management. -Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable terms and pricing. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships. -Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. -Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
