Position: Housing Officer Hybrid (incl. travel with in the borough) Salary £35,000 – £40,000 6 month fixed term contract Our client, a dynamic team managing affordable and private sector housing, are looking for a proactive Housing Officer with a passion for people, property, and community wellbeing. Key Responsibilities * Manage tenancies across the portfolio, ensuring compliance and sustainability. * Minimise voids by handling viewings, lettings, and tenancy renewals efficiently. * Support rent collection and address arrears with early intervention strategies. * Deal with ASB, tenancy breaches, and property inspections. * Provide outstanding customer service and handle resident queries, complaints, and safeguarding concerns. * Support repairs coordination, compliance checks, and performance reporting. The Ideal Candidate * Strong background in housing or tenancy management. * Solid knowledge of housing legislation and landlord-tenant law. * Experience working directly with residents and vulnerable tenants. * Great communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. * Proficiency with housing management systems * Passion for service improvement and community impact.
