Regional travel based out of Ilkeston We have an exciting opportunity for a JIB/ECS Gold card Approved Electrician to join the market leading provider of Modular Buildings, Portable cabins / accommodation, Secure Storage Solutions and associated products. This is a regional role covering service calls at customer sites to carry out a mix of qualified electrical work and general maintenance. You\’ll also deliver Facilities Management services including testing, repairs and small installation works. When regional demand is low, you\’ll be based in the Service Centre, supporting the team on in-yard repairs and installation projects. This role includes flexibility in working hours, including early/late starts, occasional weekend work, travel across the region using a company van and on the rare occasion, an overnight stay. Facilities Maintenace Electrician – Main tasks: Complete electrical installations, alterations, modifications, fault-finding and maintenance. Carry out inspections, testing and certification in line with 18th Edition and NICEIC standards. Deliver services such as PAT testing, Cabin Testing, HVAC checks, Legionella sampling, fire extinguisher inspections, etc. (training / qualifications provided where needed). Carry out a wide range of maintenance work at customer sites including plumbing, carpentry, roof/gutter repairs, panel work, and general internal/external building fabric fixes. Install/assemble add-on items like flooring, furniture, white goods, etc. Support yard-based projects. Health, Safety and Environment Manage van stock and tools, ensuring the right parts are available to achieve first-time fixes. Accurately log all work via PDA – jobs completed, materials used, time on site, and invoice updates. Facilities Maintenance Electrician – Candidate Requirements: Recognised electrical apprenticeship with full qualifications. 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations. JIB / ECS Gold Card and AM2. 2391 (or equivalent) Inspection & Testing certification. Comfortable working at height and using a range of power tools. Good communication and IT skills (basic PDA/app usage). A full UK driving licence. Desirable: General maintenance skills (plumbing, carpentry, fabric repairs). Facilities Management qualifications (PAT, Legionella, Fire Extinguishers, HVAC). SSSTS or other H&S training (IPAF, PASMA, CSCS etc.). Full training provided.
