Job Summary We are seeking a Scientific Associate for our Clinical Pathology Laboratory department site located in Elphinstone, Tranent . This is a 12 month fixed term contract opportunity. About Clinical Pathology Laboratory Services Clinical Pathology is responsible for analysing biological samples, mostly blood and urine, taken from animals on toxicology and other regulatory studies. Training will be provided for instrument operation, use of our Laboratory Information Management System and working in a GLP environment. Key responsibilities include the following: To operate automated systems currently in use in clinical chemistry and haematology undertaking routine and specialised analyses. To assess and report Clinical Pathology Data. To be responsible for planning and scheduling of work assigned. To be responsible for the production of tables, reports and data extracts. To participate in the development of new techniques and services. The following are minimum requirements related to the Scientific Associate position: Life Sciences degree. Strong organisational skills with the ability to pay attention to detail. Good communication skills. IT literate with experience of Microsoft packages. The closing date is 16 July 2025. Salary for this position is £27,951.22 per annum.
