Who are we?
Loomis UK has a strong national presence and is part of the Loomis Group a worldwide leader in the security sector. We provide secure, end-to-end solutions for the distribution, handling, and storage of cash and valuables for banks, retailers, and other businesses. From intelligent safes and cash-in-transit services to cash processing and ATM replenishment, we play a vital role in supporting the everyday flow of money in society.
The role
As a LoomisControl Room Operative, you will coordinate and monitor daily transport routes using planning and tracking tools, ensuring compliance with operational and legislative requirements. Youll liaise closely with both internal teams and external partners to support service delivery and maintain high standards of efficiency and security. Responsibilities also include managing vehicle tracking, issuing equipment and access codes, processing administrative documentation, and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, you\βll be responsible for opening and closing the branch, overseeing control room security, reporting incidents.
While this is primarily a branch-based role, you may occasionally be required to support airside operations at Heathrow or Gatwick, covering driver shortages and undertaking road duties when necessary. Therefore, an existing HGV licence is highly desirable.

About you
Youll be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working independently as well as part of a close-knit team. With a logical approach to problem-solving, youre comfortable managing change in a fast-paced environment and can prioritise tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines. Your time management and organisational skills are second to none, and you\βre confident using IT systems to plan, monitor, and report on operational activity.
Ideally, youll bring knowledge of transport legislation and may have previous experience in roles such as Driver Guard, Vault Operative, or within a related industry. A full UK driving licence is essential, and while an HGV licence and SIA accreditation are advantageous, we can support you in achieving the latter if not already held.
The values of our organisation βPeople, Service, Integrityβ are fundamental to shaping our culture and the way we manage our business.
We also have some specific security criteria that you will need to meet:
-
You must be able to pass criminal record, personal credit and ID checks
-
You must have verifiable 10-year employment/unemployment/educational history
-
You must have a current UK driving licence
-
You must be approved to attain an SIA licence. Joining us with an existing CVIT SIA licence will automatically qualify you for the post-probation rate of pay, as well as a Β£1,000 bonus.
