We are assisting highly respected and established electrical business (based in Dartford, Kent) in their search for a technically skilled Business Development Manager with hands-on electrical experience. How would you like to play a vital role within a forward-thinking company which is at the forefront of the renewable energy sector, locally? About the Role Dedicated to transforming the way the world generates and uses electricity, as their Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal part in expanding this exciting arm of the business. Using your expertise in electrical installation to understand client needs, you will be tailoring renewable solutions to exceed customer requirements and expectations, whilst forging lasting business partnerships. With a passion for green technologies, you’ll help shape strategies, close deals, and contribute directly to a cleaner, brighter future. Monday to Friday – 40 hour week. Key Responsibilities * Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the solar, EV Charging and general renewables sector (domestic, commercial, and public sector work) * Generate and qualify potential business opportunities, and take ownership of the forward business pipeline * Manage and lead tender applications and submissions for public and private sector projects * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders – converting opportunities into profitable and sustainable projects * Assisting with quotations, by providing expert advice and technical support with electrical installation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards. * Oversee handover to the delivery / installation team, supporting with project management to ensure client satisfaction * Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions. * Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and updates to current legislation (e.g. MCS, SEG, and DNO regs) What Qualifications & Experience are we looking for? * 18th Edition of BS7671 (Requirements for Electrical Installations) – Essential * Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent – Essential * A proven competence in electrical testing and inspection within commercial or industrial settings * A minimum of 3 years’ Business Development / Sales experience gained from within the Solar PV, or wider renewable energy sectors * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong organisational, IT and project management abilities. * Passion for renewable energy and sustainability. * SSSTS (Preferred) * Full UK driving licence.
