Our client, an incredibly successful food manufacturer and part of a global group based in the Glasgow area, is looking for a Materials Planner to support their growing team. About You: * Experience in food manufacturing or a similar manufacturing environment. * Proficient in Excel and familiar with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. * Strong communication and problem-solving skills. * Excellent organizational and time management abilities. * An understanding of supply chain or materials planning principles is desirable. What will you be doing? * Manage material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging. * Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production needs while minimizing waste and holding costs. * Collaborate with procurement and production teams to align materials availability with production schedules. * Monitor supplier performance and resolve material supply issues to avoid production delays. * Ensure accurate and timely data entry in the ERP system to support planning decisions. * Participate in stock reviews, cycle counts, and contribute to continuous improvement of materials planning processes. * Support the development of planning tools and reports to enhance supply chain visibility.
