I am currently recruiting for two major businesses within the Nuclear sector who are looking for Safety Case Assessors. What You’ll Be Doing As a Principal Nuclear Safety Assessor, you’ll lead the delivery of nuclear safety projects, ensuring they meet budget, technical standards, and client expectations. You’ll take a technical lead in preparing safety cases and related documentation. Key Responsibilities Lead hazard identification workshops (e.g. HAZOP) Develop safety case arguments using structured techniques (e.g. Claims/Arguments/Evidence) Collaborate with engineers, operators, and safety specialists (Human Factors, Fire, Criticality, etc.) Support clients in regulatory engagement Build and maintain strong client relationships Manage consultant teams and provide technical mentoring Identify and support new business opportunities What We’re Looking For Experienced nuclear safety professional with strong writing and mentoring skills Expertise across the full plant lifecycle, including hazard ID, DBA, PSA, ALARP, and radiological assessment Deep understanding of UK regulations and safety standards Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Physics, Engineering) Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills Adaptable and collaborative approach to project deliveryWhat’s In It for You?
