Freight Forwarder based in Heathrow are looking to expand their customs department. They have two roles available. * Customs Clerk – Monday – Friday 9-5 * Customs Clerk – 4 on 4 off Day Shifts Whats on offer * Standard Life Pension (3% employer contribution) * Death In Service (Aviva) after successful completion of probation * Employee Assistance Program (Available to employee and family) * Great Holiday Package * Hybrid: subjective to completion of probation and training ( 1 or 2 days working from home considering the operations ) Key Responsibilities * Documentation: Preparing and processing import and export documentation, such as customs declarations, invoices, and shipping documents. * Compliance: Ensuring that all import and export activities comply with relevant customs regulations, laws, and company procedures. * Communication: Interacting with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and other relevant parties to facilitate the clearance of goods. * Financial: Calculating and processing customs duties and taxes, and handling payments. * Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of all import and export transactions, including customs declarations and supporting documents. * Problem Solving: Addressing any issues or delays that may arise during the customs clearance process
