JOB DESCRIPTION

Position – Welder
Location – Wilton, Redcar
Project -Shutdown
Duration – 4 Weeks
Start – 29th September 2025
Requirement: 9

RESPONSIBILITIES

Wood will be seeking experienced welders with a strong background in industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, heavy industry within shutdowns, construction or maintenance environments.

Key requirements:
1. Proven experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel pipework
2. Proficient in TIG and MMA welding process
3. Ability to interpret technical drawings and work to high safety and quality standards
4. The majority of work will focus on:

Pipework on economisers
Ducting
Patch repairs
General piping tasks

½ inch stainless
½ carbon
2 inch stainless
2 inch carbon
6 inch 9cr (chromoly)
Supplementally fillet weld test

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements and Skills:

To excel in this role, you'll need the following qualifications and abilities:

Education: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Welding
CCNSG Safety Passport
Pass a pre-employment medical
Welding Skills: Proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to pass a weld test and medical
Experience: Relevant experience in welding and pipefitting.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to follow safety protocols.
Attention to Detail: Precise workmanship and thorough inspections.
