To support us on this journey and fuel our growth, Personio is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Legal Counsel – Privacy to reinforce our commitment to safeguarding sensitive information and maintaining compliance with data protection regulations. You will report into the Senior Managing Counsel (Product & Privacy). In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring data protection policies, ensuring the organization's adherence to privacy laws, and providing expert guidance to internal teams.

Role Responsibilities: “What You’ll Do”
You will be working on cross-functional company-wide privacy projects
You support in defining and implementing necessary measures to improve our data protection standards and organisation (i.e. automations, internal workflows and communication)
You will support our product- & engineering-teams to design our product with a “privacy by design” mindset
You will educate your colleagues in regular trainings and support on all data protection-related questions for both employees and our customers
You will continuously develop and improve our technical and organizational measures as well as internal and external documentation
You independently research and implement data protection best practices
Role Requirements: “What You Need to Succeed”
You have a proven track record of 8+ years of relevant professional experience in data protection, preferably in a Cloud services environment (SaaS/IaaS)
You have a basic knowledge of the EU AI legal framework, or have started working with recent developments on AI
You are fluent in English and German
You manage cross-functional projects with stakeholders at multiple levels and ensure a shared understanding of goals and expectations
You create a motivating and collaborative environment, where your colleagues set and achieve challenging developmental and business goals
You're able to source relevant information and use it to enable teams requesting your support
You are able prioritize and organize your workload according to risks and company requirements
