The Purpose Of The Role
As the Finance Business Partner for Asia and the Middle East, you will provide strategic financial support and insights to the Asia and Middle East team, including the Director. Your role will focus on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the region\’s P&Ls, balance sheets, and capital expenditures.
In addition to maintaining a robust control framework, you will drive ambitious growth plans through insightful decision support, accurate planning and reporting, and thorough investment appraisal.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary Finance Business Partner to the Asia and Middle East teams, serving as the core finance lead and deputising for the Head of Finance when required
- Lead the preparation and delivery of weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports, providing insightful analysis on key performance drivers to inform decision-m
- Support key international strategic initiatives and projects by developing business cases, conducting financial analysis, and tracking ongoing performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address budgeting and planning challenges, offering proactive financial solutions
- Oversee the monthly management accounts process, including balance sheet reconciliations, and deliver detailed variance analysis on key profit and loss lines to support improved business performance
- Drive efficiency and strengthen financial controls through continuous improvement of reporting processes and financial procedures
- Deliver analytical support and forward-looking financial insights to guide strategic business decisions and ensure progress against transformational goals
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic reforecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial targets
Location: You\’ll be based in Nuneaton, and may be occasionally required to travel to other locations of H&B. We support flexibility and productivity of our employees by hybrid working arrangements with minimum 2 days presence in the office
Key Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
- Proven experience in management accounting, preferably within a retail, FMCG or International environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial reporting systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex financial information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
