As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you\’ll take the lead on high-profile, purpose-driven projects spanning healthcare transformation, education facilities, research environments, and private client developments. With project values typically between £5m and £50m, you\’ll have full commercial ownership of schemes that make a genuine impact on local communities.
Role Overview
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Take ownership of pre- and post-contract cost management across multiple projects.
- Deliver expert budgeting, cost planning, procurement, and contract administration.
- Lead value engineering, risk management, and financial reporting.
- Administer contracts under JCT and NEC frameworks.
- Support and mentor junior surveyors as part of a collaborative, growing team.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring excellence at every stage.
About You
- Minimum 4+ years\’ PQS / consultancy experience in cost management.
- MRICS qualified (or close to completion).
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methodologies, procurement, and contract administration.
- Proven ability to manage complex budgets, risks, and commercial performance.
- Skilled communicator with experience handling client-facing responsibilities.
- Confident using Microsoft 365 and cost management tools such as CostX, iTWO, or CADMeasure.
- Experienced in NEC and JCT contracts.
- Proactive, detail-focused, and driven to deliver sustainable, value-led outcomes.
