JOB PURPOSE

Partnering with the merchant teams and corporate VM team to ensure the alignment of product with core VM principles from the showroom to all points of sale.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Core

  • To Implement Corporate Visual Merchandising policies and standards throughout retail, wholesale, outlets and travel retail sites with the region for all windows, seasonal and in store product changes.
  • To lead and manage the Visual team within the region including hiring (in conjunction with the VM director), supervising, training and developing.
  • To work as an important part of the Retail operations team to maximize the bestselling of the stores. To actively participate with store management team to make the best visual decisions for stores whilst maintaining the corporate visual standards.

To manage all visual spending of region within annual budget- Including:

  • Window and in-store displays.
  • Props.
  • Flowers and sundry decoration.
  • Travel (all team).
  • All other expenses.
  • To organize and conduct in-store training sessions on visual merchandising guidelines and visual merchandising standards to store staff . To train and develop the in store VM specialist for the region, ensuring that they are motivated and full aware of corporate guidelines and strategy.
  • Brand Execution
  • Drive productivity and profitability e.g. conversion rates, LFL sales, UPT, AUR etc
  • Oversee the execution of Wholesale brand and revenue.
  • Oversee and strengthen the relationship with the wholesale customers.
  • Drive compliance with global standards and excellent product knowledge across the region
  • Ensure consistent execution of visual standards
  • Operational Excellence
  • Drive execution of company initiatives
  • Communicate clear action plans and priorities to achieve operational excellence
  • Act as the primary liaison between Home Office and the region
  • Work in conjunction with regional representatives for Operations, HR and Marketing & Comms, to achieve alignment between corporate strategies and regional needs.
  • Work in conjunction with other Area Managers to share best practice and build consistent ways of working

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

  • The implementation and maintenance of high visual standards across all channels.
  • Ensuring costs efficiency’s against previous activity and on-going efficient supplier management.
  • Training and development of regional VM and the successful training of the store teams.
  • Financial targets (sales and operational).
  • Depth of future talent for the pipeline for the Europe Region and globally.
