An exciting opportunity to join the Leeds office has arisen for a Principal BIM Specialist. The office is conveniently located in the heart of the city and the appointed Consultant can look forward to working alongside a range of specialist Engineers and fellow Consultants, joining a highly collaborative environment and working culture.
As a BIM Specialist, you will be a key leader within the digital team, responsible for managing and delivering high-quality BIM outputs across multiple projects. You will collaborate with designers, engineers and technical experts to ensure all modelling efforts meet both internal standards and client expectations.
In this key and varied role, you can expect to:
- Guide junior team members and upskill other members of the team.
- Recruitment into the team, and actively role model the profession in the industry.
- Oversee complex modelling tasks and ensure best practices are consistently applied.
- Coordinate closely with local and central teams to manage external data, monitor model health, and implement clash detection processes.
- Manage BIM-related documentation, ensuring project delivery adheres to operational and quality standards.
- Promote BIM tools, manage resources, lead internal training, and represent the team in external meetings.
- Attend events to keep abreast of industry trends and software updates.
To be considered for this key position you must demonstrate proven experience working as an MEP BIM Specialist or closely related role, with a track record delivering on a variety of complex MEP projects. You must also have extensive experience of BIM processes, and the use of relevant software / tools such as Revit. Experience working with contractors/architects/developers in a design-oriented consultant role is essential, displaying a client facing and flexible approach at all times.
