The Short-Term Analytical Team is an operational team with the following structure:

• 6 market analysts and a manager supporting the French Desk on weekdays:
• 3 analysts work on Intraday horizon in Paris
• 3 analysts work on Day Ahead and Week Ahead horizons in London
• The analysts on shift analyze the European electricity system to support price forecasting and trading strategies.

7 analysts, a deputy, and a manager focus on optimizing the EDF portfolio on Day Ahead and Week Ahead horizons, working 7/7 in Paris.

The role is based in London, supporting the maximization of returns from wholesale power markets through detailed, timely analysis.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide data and risk analysis on short-term power markets
• Support price forecasts and trading strategies
• Follow and communicate Day-Ahead and Week-Ahead optimization shifts
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements like REMIT

Development Responsibilities:

• Manage the full lifecycle of models/applications from research to maintenance
• Develop models for market behavior prediction, automation workflows, and data visualization

Experience & Technical Skills:

• Ability to work under pressure with accuracy and commercial awareness
• Fluent in French & English
• Master\’s degree in a relevant field, with experience in stochastic/deterministic models
• Proficiency in Python, web development, and source control (Git)

Personality & Skills:

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, proactive problem solver
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with traders and asset managers
