Location – Edinburgh or Glasgow, Permanent

Office Attendance – Our roles are hybrid, however you should be able to travel to our Glasgow OR Edinburgh office 2-3 days per week.

This is an exciting time to join Tesco Bank\’s Controls 1st Line Risk Function, to help manage risk across Banking Products. As an Operational and Strategic Advisory Manager, you\’ll provide advice on risk matters, ensure compliance with the risk management framework, and share risk knowledge. You\’ll work closely with assurance colleagues and product stakeholders, engaging with various teams across the business to maintain a strong risk and control environment

What you\’ll be doing

  • Providing technical expertise to support the Banking Business with the management of risks, controls, issues, and events.
  • Facilitating the half yearly Risk & Control Self-Assessment attestation exercise across Banking
  • Analysing risk data to provide insight and identify opportunities to simplify and add value.
  • Co-ordinating the production of the pack, and the facilitation of Risk Forums.
  • Planning and prioritising work to meet commitments and foreseeing and resolving potential bottlenecks and delays.
  • Engaging in local risk fora, providing credible risk opinion and expert knowledge of the Risk Management Framework.

We need you to have:

  • Considerable experience working with Risk Management Frameworks and undertaking risk and control self-assessment.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels, building trust and gaining commitment through integrity, cooperation, and flexibility.
  • Ability to translate risk opinion into measurable and timely actions.
  • Initiative-taking mindset with excellent planning and time management skills.
