Job Description:
International House London is currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic languages teachers to join our growing Foreign Languages team. The role primarily involves teaching adults on our 6-week Evening face-to-face courses at our school in Covent Garden from 18:30 to 20:30. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified and passionate individuals to contribute to our vibrant and multicultural learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality language lessons to adult learners.
- Create engaging and effective lesson materials and activities.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere in the classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of courses and maintain consistent teaching standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities.
Essential
- Must have the right to work in the UK and be currently based in the UK.
- Proficiency in the language taught (C2 level)
- Fluent English
- Initial teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant teaching experience to adults.
- Clear Police Record and Enhanced DBS
Desirable
- Possess a CELTA, Trinity TESOL or DELTA
- QTS
- Hold a degree in Modern Languages
Working Hours:
This is a part-time position. We are looking for a teacher to deliver in-person courses on weekday evenings (18:30 – 20:30). More hours can be offered in the afternoon and weekends to the right candidates.
