Altum Consulting are working with a leading media business to recruit an RTR Manager based in Salford, Manchester. This role will be for an initial 6-month FTC. Applying candidates must be on a short notice period.
- Lead and develop the RTR Core Accounting team, ensuring consistent, efficient, and fully documented accounting processes
- Deliver accurate and timely accounting entries in line with accounting standards and internal controls
- Oversee month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring quality financial reporting
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and digital transformation across RTR
- Drive automation, standardisation, and efficiency within accounting processes
- Support system enhancements and take an active role in testing ERP SaaS releases
- Collaborate closely with other RTR and Finance Operations managers to resolve issues and drive improvement
- Manage audit requirements by coordinating timely and accurate information for external auditors
- Oversee training, development, and performance management of the RTR team
- Promote strong team engagement aligned with business values and behaviours
- Conduct regular 1:1s, support goal setting, and ensure clear communication of priorities
- Play a key role in RTR team meetings and support the Head of Department as needed
- Ensure strong time management, prioritisation, and delivery of team objectives
As an RTR Manager you\’ll be/have:
- A professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience managing an RTR or core accounting function, ideally within a large, fast-paced organisation
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with ERP systems
- Proven ability to drive automation, process improvement, and digital finance initiatives
- A collaborative leadership style with experience managing and developing teams
