Salary: £32,064 – £33,456 per annum (Unqualified Lecturer) £35,731 – £45,741 per Annum (Qualified Lecturer)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, inspiring and informative lessons on various Business and Travel and tourism topics.
  • Develop and prepare course materials that meet curriculum and awarding body requirements.
  • Provide students with guidance and meaningful feedback to support their academic development and achievement.
  • Attend standardisation meetings and provide internal verification for student work.
  • Participate in moderation visits and prepare documentation as required.
  • Maintain an interactive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Enforce expectations on classroom behaviour management and the college Ready to learn policy including, removing coats, no use of mobile phones unless instructed, removing hats, hoods, headphones and being equipped for the lesson.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance in line with course objectives and academic standards.

Our Ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills and experience;

  • A relevant qualification in Business/Travel and Tourism (Degree or equivalent)
  • Experience within the Business/Travel and Tourism sector is essential and ensures that the postholder will play a key role in developing learners key skills linked to industry expectations.
  • Previous experience teaching or delivering training in Business/Travel and tourism (teaching qualification preferred but not essential).
  • A thorough understanding of the Business/Travel and tourism industry, including current trends and best practices, is crucial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students to achieve their potential.
  • Strong passion for inspiring learners and a commitment to shaping the next generation of industry professionals.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills.
  • Experience in creating and delivering engaging lesson plans and SOWs
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
