Main Purpose of the Job: The Building Services Compliance Manager is responsible for managing and delivering effective technical support training within the Building Services department, ensuring safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements are met.

Main Tasks of the Job:

  1. Ensure the Engineering and Building Services team are suitably skilled and trained on all technical elements relevant to their roles.
  2. Maintain central training records and inform management when refresher training is needed.
  3. Assess contractor competencies and ensure Logbooks are up to date.
  4. Maintain and develop departmental risk assessments and safety documentation.
  5. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and support investigations of safety incidents.
  6. Support the development and review of departmental procedures and training materials.
  7. Conduct audits and inspections, identify non-compliance, and implement corrective actions.
  8. Report on risk and compliance performance using PDCA methodology.
  9. Facilitate audits and cover Shift Technician roles when necessary.
  10. Undertake relevant training and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with problem-solving skills.
  • Training qualification or 3+ years’ experience in a training role.
  • Experience in a regulated, complex environment, preferably with electrical/mechanical engineering qualifications.
  • Experience leading technical training and delivering presentations to diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Safety Management Systems and record-keeping tools.
  • Ability to develop engaging training materials.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Desirable:

  • Health and Safety Qualification (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely).
  • Knowledge of Facilities and Quality Management Systems.
  • Understanding of airside risks and hazards.
