Position Description
The Junior Market Strategist is responsible for analyzing market dynamics and contributing to the development of actionable trading strategies within the equity derivatives space. This role involves utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methodologies to predict market movements and generate thematic trade ideas. The candidate will perform data-driven investment research, focusing on various approaches, such as multi-asset allocation, sector rotation, and technical analysis.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Utilize quantitative and qualitative methodologies to predict market movements and develop actionable trade ideas.
- Conduct data-driven investment strategy research across multiple frameworks, including multi-asset allocation, sector rotation, technical signals, and quantamental analysis.
- Structure effective equity derivative trade strategies that optimize the return/risk profile based on predictive insights.
- Stay informed on market trends and developments, proactively generating thematic trade ideas that align with current market conditions and emerging opportunities.
- Collaborate with quant developers to design and implement scalable infrastructure for data collection, investment research, trading signal generation, and product management to enhance analytical capabilities.
- Engage with various internal teams (e.g., sales, research) and external partners to gather market intelligence, understand client perspectives, and effectively promote investment ideas.
Requirements
- Degree holder in Finance, Mathematics, Sciences, Engineering or related discipline(s).
- Good knowledge for Equity Derivatives.
- Strong coding abilities and quantitative knowledge.
- Strong work ethic and motivation.
- A creative mind set, and a strong sense of entrepreneurship are crucial.
- Ability to work under pressure and collaborate in a team.
- Approximately 2-3 years of direct experience.
