We’re looking for a skilled and driven Fleet Telematics Installer to join our team in London, working primarily on bus fleets.
Role Overview:
As a Fleet Telematics Installer, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of telematics systems, including Timespace equipment, CCTV, and IP camera systems. Your work will play a critical role in ensuring our fleet operates with the highest levels of efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure telematics equipment on buses, including GPS, CCTV, IP cameras, and data connectivity systems.
- Set up and maintain Timespace telematics systems (preferred) or similar fleet management systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair any hardware or software issues.
- Carry out routine maintenance and updates on installed systems.
- Perform network configuration, ensuring all devices are securely and effectively connected.
- Collaborate with fleet managers and project teams to ensure all installations meet client specifications.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all work carried out.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in installing and configuring fleet telematics, CCTV, or IP camera systems.
- Experience with Timespace equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong background in networking, including configuration, troubleshooting, and security.
- Understanding of IP-based systems and connectivity.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Comfortable working in a mobile role, traveling to various locations in London.
- Full UK driving license is a plus.
