Overview
Reporting to the Assistant Director – Campus Services, the Head of Maintenance is responsible for managing all maintenance activities at the University, relating to statutory, planned, preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance. You will be the University’s expert on maintenance ensuring that the maintenance activity enhances the campus experience. The successful postholder will also provide strategic advice on the maintenance strategy and ensuring contracts are in place to support the University estate.
Base pay and compensation

Responsibilities
- Manage all maintenance activities at the University, relating to statutory, planned, preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance.
- Provide strategic advice on the maintenance strategy and ensure contracts are in place to support the University estate.
- Be the University’s expert on maintenance and ensure that maintenance activity enhances the campus experience.
Qualifications
- Degree qualification (ideally) and a relevant professional qualification.
- Good knowledge and experience of delivering the maintenance requirements of a diverse and large estate.
- Strong leadership and people management skills; ability to develop effective internal and external relationships.
- High level of personal drive and energy to deliver a user-focused FM service.
