As a globally recognised automotive manufacturer, our client is looking for an experienced Stock Controller to facilitate the smooth delivery of early-phase prototype builds in vehicle production. In this role, you will be responsible for processing parts into the build hall and ensuring the timely delivery of all received items. This contract-based position is located at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Surrey. Own the stock control process of part delivery to vehicle build. Ensure robust and accurate inventory management of all prototype vehicle parts. Work closely with the wider logistics organization, promoting a collaborative approach and ultimately supporting the team goals. Coordinate all carry-over stock demands from initial request to lineside delivery. Efficient tracking and follow-up on active internal requisitions to ensure timely budget approval and part delivery. Training in 5S methodology. Strong understanding of manufacturing and warehousing environments. Proficiency in IT, particularly in Microsoft Excel. Experience in material planning and control is preferred. Familiarity with SAP products is advantageous. Background in the automotive industry is desirable. The Stock Controller must effectively coordinate collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, there will be opportunities to bring new and innovative warehousing ideas and a requirement to adopt material controller responsibilities for sourcing carry-over parts.
