Job Description
The Control Room Operator will be responsible for monitoring, analysis, and scheduling of all assets at Masdar’s Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sites. The role involves acting as the key interface between stakeholders and supporting the development of a best-in-class operational control desk, focusing on governance, safety, and data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Real-time monitoring: Use SCADA systems to detect and diagnose technical issues, respond to alarms, and ensure system reliability.
- Maintenance scheduling: Support dispatching technicians for maintenance, coordinate outages, and optimize site availability.
- Data and Reporting: Analyze performance data, identify trends, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow safety standards, monitor site activities remotely, and act as Site Controller in emergencies.
- Information Security: Adhere to security policies, protect assets, and report incidents.
Qualifications
- Degree or HND in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience with BESS and SCADA systems is preferred.
- Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Team player with attention to detail.
