About The Role
As a Senior Project Manager , you will take full ownership of delivering strategic, cross-functional projects from inception to completion. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget , and meet the highest standards of quality.
You’ll lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and risks, and act as the key link between stakeholders, technical teams, and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives efficiently and effectively
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks and resolve issues that may impact project delivery
  • Manage project budgets, including forecasting, tracking spend, and cost control
  • Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders, team members, and executive leadership
  • Implement and oversee project management best practices across the full project lifecycle
  • Monitor project performance, analyse variances, and apply corrective actions where required
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and produce progress reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Mentor and support junior project managers and team members
  • Drive ongoing process improvements to optimise project delivery and efficiency

Qualifications
We’re seeking a highly capable and experienced Senior Project Manager who can drive complex projects to successful outcomes while fostering collaboration and innovation. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of strategic insight, leadership acumen, and technical project delivery experience. You will demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Educational Background A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline is essential. A relevant professional certification, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or Prince2, is highly desirable.
  • Project Delivery Expertise A minimum of 7 years’ experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects in fast-paced and evolving environments. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously is essential.
  • Methodologies & Tools In-depth knowledge of recognised project management methodologies, including Agile, Prince2, and Waterfall. You should also be highly proficient in tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Budgeting & Financial Control Advanced capabilities in budget management and financial planning, including cost forecasting, tracking, and resource optimisation. You’ll be expected to manage project finances effectively and deliver within budget constraints.
  • Leadership & Team Management A natural leader with outstanding team management skills, capable of motivating and guiding cross-functional teams. You should have experience mentoring or coaching junior project managers and team members, helping to build project delivery capability across the business.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently at all organisational levels, including with executive leadership. You should be skilled in facilitating collaboration and resolving conflicts.
  • Risk Management & Problem Solving Demonstrated expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities are essential to navigate challenges and drive decisions that ensure successful outcomes.
  • Organisation & Resilience Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Industry Knowledge Experience or familiarity with industry-specific standards and practices relevant to Wavenet’s sector (e.g., technology, telecoms, or IT services) would be an advantage.
