They’re now looking for an experienced Flood Risk Engineer to join their talented team – either at Engineer or Senior Engineer level – to support exciting and meaningful projects across the UK. What You’ll Do As part of the Flood Risk Team, you’ll contribute to the delivery of high-quality solutions across a variety of sectors and scales. Your role will include: Delivering Flood Risk Assessments, Sustainable Drainage Strategies, river modelling, flood defence design and hydraulic modelling. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders to design practical and sustainable solutions. Using tools like QGIS, AutoCAD, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS and TUFLOW to assess and deliver impactful results. Preparing high-quality technical reports, drawings and documentation. (Senior level) Leading projects, managing clients and mentoring junior engineers. Working on a variety of related areas such as water neutrality, environmental permitting, nutrient neutrality assessments, and EIA support. What We’re Looking For Required: Degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering or related field. Minimum 2 years’ experience in flood risk or related consultancy work. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with hydraulic modelling and GIS software. Excellent communication, teamwork, and report-writing skills. Desirable: Postgraduate degree and/or working towards chartership (CIWEM or similar). Full UK driving licence for site visits.
