Purpose of the Role:
As a mid-senior Motion Designer at McLaren (After Effects), you’ll produce exceptional motion graphics that captivate audiences and drive the McLaren Racing brand forward. You’ll have a strong command of kinetic typography, animation, and editing skills, ensuring dynamic content across platforms.
You’ll work with digital platforms, creating visuals for social media, web, and mobile apps, translating briefs into high-quality graphics reflecting McLaren’s aesthetic.
This role requires a visionary with outstanding design instincts who thrives in a collaborative environment, delivering top-tier conceptual work while managing budgets and deadlines.
Applying McLaren’s brand principles, you will ensure seamless integration of design across digital touchpoints.
Specializing in kinetic typography & motion design with expertise in typography and animation to create captivating content.
Strong editing and audio skills to ensure seamless sound-visual integration.
Develop creative solutions across various formats, including motion graphics, campaigns, social media visuals, websites, product graphics, and photography.
Collaborate with teams across the studio and Social Digital departments to ensure project success.
Deliver exceptional, timely creative work that elevates brand experiences and resonates with audiences.
Role Dimensions:
Meet critical deadlines, stay within budget, keep up with industry trends, and inspire junior team members. Ensure all work embodies our brand principles across media and collateral. Report directly to the Head of Digital Creative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret stakeholder briefs and respond with high-standard creative concepts.
- Create storyboards with strong sense of timing and visual storytelling.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions.
- Understand project scope, prepare layouts, and stay updated with industry advancements.
- Create engaging animations for various media, including videos and effects.
- Manage stakeholder requirements, timelines, and communication effectively.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a motion designer.
Strong portfolio demonstrating a wide range of projects.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects and Photoshop; knowledge of Cinema 4D and Redshift is a plus.
Excellent time management and self-direction skills.
