SPX Radiodetection is a leading provider of precision tools for infrastructure detection, committed to innovation and excellence. We are seeking a Group Accountant to play a key role in our finance function, ensuring high-level accuracy in financial reporting across our eight UK-based trading entities.
The Role
As a Group Accountant, you will review the financial accounts of all eight trading entities, consolidating financial data and preparing group reports. Working closely with the Finance Director and Accounting team, you will ensure timely and accurate reporting, manage compliance requirements, and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review all accounts from the Management Accountants across the eight entities.
- Perform consolidation and group reporting for senior leadership.
- Draft initial financial slides and reports, including departmental analysis.
- Ensure structured month-end close – reviewing accounts by Day 3/4, and consolidating/reporting by Week 2.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- SOX co-ordinator to ensure compliance to key controls.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in Group Accounting or a strong interest in gaining experience in this field.
- Strong financial consolidation and reporting skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines with high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with OneStream, Hyperion, or ERP systems is a plus.
- Experience in a manufacturing or multi-entity business is desirable.
