The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

*this role is open to remote working within the UK. Successful candidates will be required to travel to their closest UNiDAYS campus (London or Nottingham) on occasion.

The role in a nutshell

The Senior Analytics Implementation Engineer will play an important role in supporting UNiDAYS product, engineering and marketing goals through both maintaining and more importantly improving the way we capture digital data (App and Web) at UNiDAYS.
This role is best suited to those with experience of responsibilities for digital data capture, ideally with exposure to doing so on mobile applications and websites. Day to day you’ll be responsible for correctly measuring our digital journey and features across all, including the implementation of MarTech tags directly but often in collaboration with our engineering teams.
Beyond day-to-day activity there is an opportunity to take on further responsibility within this role and help to unify and simplify our tracking approach across all platforms enabling us to evolve our tracking estate and supporting our growth aims at UNiDAYS

Day to day responsibilities

  • Design & write digital data requirements for digital journeys and features based on the needs of the business and work with engineering teams to ensure their correct implementation (Across all platforms) including QA, UAT and Release Monitoring. Primarily within GA4 and Segment
  • Collaborate with our marketing teams to either deliver or consult on the correct implementation of Marketing Technology platforms including the use of GTM where required
  • Lead on data governance for digital data capture proactively working with analysts/reporting teams to identify data integrity issues through to collaborating with engineering teams on resolution through to final resolution
  • Maintain and improve on our existing data capture documentation library to improve self service from analysts and monitor technical analytical debt
  • Work with our engineering teams (with the support of your manager) on key projects, including developing new overarching measurement approaches and standards
  • What we need from you

  • Intermediate to advanced experience in working with engineering teams consulting and supporting the implementation of tracking solutions
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate stakeholder requirements into engineering-friendly solutions.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience working with Firebase for data capture (owning spec design, UAT and QA)
  • Basic to Intermediate experience working with Google Tag Manager or similar tag management platforms
  • Intermediate to advanced experience working digital analytics and MarTech platforms
  • A Solid understanding of marketing technology principles and data pipelines
  • Experience working with Google Analytics 4 (Desirable)
  • Experience working with Segment and Launch Darkly (Desirable)
  • Experience working within a product-centric organisation (Desirable)
  • Experience working within a sprint-focused task environment (Desirable)
  • Exposure of a basic understanding of BigQuery for GA4 (Desirable)
