Executive Officer – Ministry of Justice Location: Leeds Assignment runs until: 20th November 2025 Pay: £12.74 Job Type: Temporary Sector: Public Sector Hours: Monday – Friday (37 hours a week) Experience of auditing or governance (particularly within a civil service environment) will be beneficial for applicants External support will serve to meet the following business needs: Essential *Ability to assist /support with and maintain appropriate systems to enable effective planning and scheduling. *Ability to assist in maintaining project controls and in producing project reports through guidance. *Responsible for project file management using robust version control. Organise key project meetings and provide secretariat support. *Assist with maintaining the stakeholder log for internal and external stakeholders. Act as the focal point for project responses to external requests for information. *Assist with the monitor of project spend and contribute to the compilation of budgets. Maintains an accurate asset register for the project. *Assist with and maintain risk and issue logs, escalating as appropriate. Qualifications: *Experience of organising teams, establishing processes and working to deadlines. *Able to use Microsoft Office tools. Desirable: *Project Management knowledge or experience *Civil Service experience About this role: * To support deliver project management products. The resource must adapt to working with project team users on different platforms and adopt a project management approach to deliver the work. * Allocated programme or project timelines are challenging, in part due to the complex stakeholder landscape and need to consult and communicate across different departments/organisations and formally engage their governance structures. These Project Support roles will be treated as specialised flexible resource to support the MoJ Portfolio priority projects. These roles will be expected to support the programmes and projects in maintaining the Project Delivery process and products. They will need adaptable and flexible skills to adapt and be comfortable with a busy changing environment. This role will be situated with the Prison Capacity Sub-Portfolio Team and will support for the following: The nature of the work/activities will require a combination of specific project management skills and experience in delivering transformational change. This role is required to provide administrative support to the Prison Capacity Sub Portfolio PMO during a period of audit by the National Audit Office (NAO). Common activities will include: – Governance: compiling and sourcing documentation and records in line with MoJ governance requirements and guidelines. – Stakeholder Engagement: liaising with project professionals across the Prison Capacity Sub Portfolio on an "as and when" required basis to source documentation or information required for audit purposes. – Quality Management: ensuring accurate and quality data returns & recording, and accurate filing. This role will be best performed by an individual with a reasonably strong level of professional administrative support in a project-related environment.
