A Legal Counsel opportunity has arisen with a well-known retailer based in Manchester. With both retail and wholesale businesses within the group, this opportunity will provide the successful lawyer with a great variety of commercial experience and would be a perfect first move in-house.
Reporting to the General Counsel the role will involve:
– Drafting and negotiation of retail and wholesale, customer and supplier agreements;
– Playing an active role on project teams, creating strategic partnerships and working on the ongoing M&A programme;
– Involvement in resolution of disputes;
– Compliance and governance; and
– Management of external counsel.
This role would be well suited to a 1-3 PQE lawyer, either already working in an in-house legal function or looking for a first move from a commercial team in private practice into industry. There will be support from the GC and senior counsel to help you develop your commercial skills in a fast-paced environment.
