My client is an established manufacturing company who provides critical engineering solutions to their blue-chip client base worldwide. They now have a requirement for a Lean Manufacturing Engineer to be based at their site in Stamford, Lincolnshire. The successful Lean Manufacturing Engineer will support the manufacturing operations, improve all aspects of production through six sigma, lean methodologies and root cause analysis. Lean Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities: * Work closely with the Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support operations, improve all aspects of production. * Evaluate and troubleshoot manufacturing processes by conducting problem solving activities to identify root causes, develop solutions and lead implementation to reduce overproduction and waste. * Pro-actively identify improvement opportunities through six sigma, lean methodologies and root cause analysis. * Liaise with production and engineering teams to ensure improvements are requested and implemented. Lean Manufacturing Engineer Requirements: * Must have completed a recognised apprenticeship program and hold a mechanical or electrical engineering qualification to a level 3 as a minimum. * Previous experience in a similar position is essential, especially being responsible for six sigma, root cause analysis and lean methodologies in an engineering setting. * Ability to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical diagrams. * Strong emphasis on data driven decision making. * IT Literate – Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint. * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Lean Manufacturing Engineer Benefits: * Salary – £35,000 * 28 days holiday + Bank holidays. * Monday to Friday – half day Fridays. * Option to purchase addition annual leave days – up to 5 days per year. * Company pension – up to 7% match. * Yearly bonus – up to 5% performance based. * Life Assurance x6 annual salary. * Opportunity to join an established, reputable company.
