Job Description
Van 3.5 Delivery Drivers – IMMEDIATE START
Heathrow, Hillingdon, West Drayton areas
Salary: £15.00ph
Hours: Monday to Friday / 07:00am – 16:00pm / 1-hour unpaid break
Role Summary
Drive company vehicles in a safe manner and adhere to all relevant legislation / rules in relation to the loads being transported.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliveries / collections within England
- Load and unload in line with the company code of practice and use appropriate equipment.
- Maintain security of load while loading, transporting and delivering.
- Comply with various legislations regarding vehicle safety.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Professional van delivery experience and must be over 25 years old due to underwritten insurance.
- ADR would be desirable.
- Good knowledge of EU Regulations and Working Time Directive.
- Good geographical knowledge of roads around the base depot.
- Geographical knowledge of major UK roads would be desirable.
- Sound knowledge of Highway Code and speed limits for size of vehicle / type of road.
- Good working knowledge of manual loading / unloading and securing freight.
- Unacceptable endorsements: Drink or drugs related endorsements within the past 10 years / any disqualifications in the past 5 years / any codes on licence with prefix: IN CD, DD, DR, and BA.
