Job Description
A Japanese financial institution is currently recruiting for a Japanese-speaking Planning Vice President to work in their London office.
In this role, you will be responsible for formulating and supporting business promotion to maximise business performance.
The ideal candidate should have experience in business planning, strong communication skills in English and Japanese, analytical skills, and proficiency in data analysis tools.

Vice President Main Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement business plan and strategies together with senior management
- Develop and support the execution of business strategies and annual plans
- Design, monitor, and analyse key sales KGIs, KPIs and KAIs
- Conduct competitive analysis and identify customer needs
- Plan and support the rollout of new product and service initiatives
- Collaborate with front-line client coverage teams to identify issues and implement improvements
- Coordinate with marketing, product development, and other relevant departments
- Prepare business strategy presentation materials and reports for various stakeholders
- Manage and monitor key performance indicators and other measurable targets for JBE, such as P/L, RWA, and headcount, and report regularly to senior management
- S Support senior management in determining optimal resource allocation, including headcount, budget, and target setting
- Coordinate and organise seminars and various events
- Any other ad-hoc activities as requested by the Head of Planning
Vice President Ideal Candidate:
- At least 3 years of experience in the financial industry (preferably in banking)
- Business-level fluency in both English and Japanese
- Experience in business planning, business promotion, or business consulting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Project management experience
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
- Proactive and able to drive initiatives independently
- Strong balance of strategic thinking and practical business sense
- Ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions
