The Platform
Our client is a globally recognised real assets investment manager with a differentiated track record across the infrastructure risk-return spectrum. With an emphasis on core and core-plus strategies, the platform actively deploys institutional capital into long-duration, yield-generating assets that underpin essential services and economic resilience. Backed by a robust parent group and governed through best-in-class structures, the firm operates across open- and closed-ended vehicles, SMAs, and co-investment platforms—serving a blue-chip investor base spanning pension funds, sovereign wealth, and insurance capital.
Operating out of global financial centres and led by sector-specialist teams, the firm combines bottom-up asset insight with top-down portfolio construction, integrating ESG, regulatory, and macro considerations into its investment and fund management strategies.
The Role
We are seeking a Vice President or Director to assume a leadership role within the firm’s Core Infrastructure fund management team, with accountability across portfolio oversight, investor reporting, governance, and value creation. The mandate spans the full lifecycle of fund operations, from capital deployment and valuation to performance optimisation and investor engagement.
The role interfaces with senior investment professionals, operating partners, LPs, and internal boards, and is suited to a high-performing infrastructure fund manager with a holistic understanding of how to manage institutional capital at scale. The successful candidate will bring a blend of technical rigour, stakeholder fluency, and operational leadership—balancing financial precision with strategic foresight.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Management & Operational Oversight
- Lead the management of one or more flagship core infrastructure funds and related vehicles, with full responsibility for capital planning, liquidity optimisation, treasury, hedging, and distribution strategies.
- Drive best-in-class fund operations in collaboration with finance, compliance, and third-party administrators, ensuring alignment with governing documents and LP expectations.
Investor Reporting & LP Interface
- Own the preparation and delivery of investor communications across AGMs, LPACs, quarterly updates, and bespoke requests.
- Act as a senior point of contact for LPs, responding to complex queries with clarity and precision while maintaining transparency and trust.
- Oversee valuation processes across portfolio assets and fund NAVs, ensuring timely and consistent outputs aligned with IFRS, INREV, and internal governance frameworks.
- Partner with asset management and external valuers to ensure that valuations reflect operational realities and strategic upside.
Performance Enhancement & Value Creation
- Collaborate with asset managers and platform partners to identify levers for yield optimisation and capital efficiency across the portfolio.
- Monitor fund KPIs and drive performance benchmarking to support internal reviews and LP disclosures.
Governance & Committee Engagement
- Prepare investment and fund-level proposals for internal approval bodies, supporting IC discussions and ensuring documentation meets regulatory and fiduciary standards.
- Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership on fund positioning, policy alignment, and cross-fund consistency.
Transaction & Strategic Support
- Support acquisition, divestment, and refinancing processes by providing fund-level input on structuring, liquidity impacts, and allocation considerations.
- Contribute to co-investment strategies, carve-out structuring, and bespoke solutions for key LPs.
- Mentor junior professionals, establishing a culture of accuracy, accountability, and development.
- Engage in broader platform initiatives, including new product structuring, fundraising support, and system/process enhancements.
Candidate Profile
- Experience : Minimum 10 years’ experience in infrastructure fund management, asset management, or principal investing, ideally within a GP platform. Exposure to core/core-plus strategies across transport, energy, utilities, or digital infrastructure preferred.
