Formulation Chemist – Lancashire – FMCG An established manufacturer in Lancashire is seeking a Development Chemist to lead the formulation and technical development of cosmetic, household, and pet care products. This is a hands-on R&D role focused on bringing innovative, compliant products to market. Key Responsibilities: Develop and test formulations to meet customer briefs, claims, and regulatory standards. Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external clients from concept to first production. Conduct and oversee testing (stability, preservation, claims), and maintain technical documentation. Support product accreditations and regulatory submissions (e.g., COSMOS, Vegan). Collaborate with manufacturing teams for scale-up and production troubleshooting. Maintain formulation records, lab systems, and hygiene protocols. What You\’ll Bring: A degree in Chemistry (or similar scientific discipline). Ideally 3 years\’ experience formulating cosmetic or personal care products. Understanding of UK/EU/US cosmetic regulations and product safety documentation.
