Key Duties (Including but not limited to):
- Support the Group Risk Director in the socialisation, embedding, and further development of the risk management framework across the Group (including data assimilation from internal risk management software).
- Align risk reporting strategy with the Group's broader goals to anticipate potential risks impacting these objectives.
- Facilitate risk assessments across the Group, including analysis of mitigation strategies, identification of emerging risks, root cause analysis, scenario planning, and review against risk appetite statements/tolerances. Highlight gaps or weaknesses with solutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, providing risk management guidance, challenge, and consultation.
Experience required:
- Previous experience in a second line risk management department within a UK financial services firm, with expertise in the Insurance sector.
- Experience with Risk Management Information System implementation projects, preferably with prior leadership roles in Governance, Risk, and Compliance tools or other risk systems.
- Proven ability to identify gaps and lead remediation efforts.
- Experience in delivering 2LOD oversight activities, such as risk reports and post-incident assessments.
