The job
We are looking for a Tax Reporting Manager with deep expertise in US GAAP to join our global finance team. This role will be instrumental in delivering accurate and compliant tax reporting across AVEVA’s global operations, ensuring alignment with both IFRS and US GAAP standards. You will work closely with regional tax leads, controllers, and external auditors to manage quarterly and annual tax provision processes, support M&A activity, and drive continuous improvement in tax reporting controls and systems.
Principal Accountabilities
- Lead the preparation of interim, quarterly, and year-end global tax provisions under IFRS and US GAAP.
- Review tax reporting deliverables from controllers and tax managers across the Group.
- Oversee US GAAP disclosure preparation, including reconciliation of GAAP differences.
- Prepare and maintain detailed tax provision memoranda and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, including SOX documentation and audit processes.
- Manage tax reporting aspects of M&A transactions, including purchase accounting and compliance.
- Identify and implement process improvements in tax provision and compliance functions.
- Coordinate preparation of tax account reconciliations and related schedules.
- Manage the implications of Pillar 2 on global tax reporting.
- Support internal and external audit processes with timely and accurate data.
- Conduct ongoing tax research to ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
- Contribute to special projects and strategic tax initiatives.
- Standardize and embed Group Tax Reporting processes to ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX.
- Drive improvements in tax reporting processes through design, control, and operational enhancements.
Ideal Experience and Skills.
- Recognised professional finance qualification.
- Recognised tax qualification.
- Proven experience in global tax reporting, including Group Tax Reporting.
- Strong communication skills across all stakeholder levels.
- High integrity and commitment to ethical standards.
- Experience interpreting and managing control and operational risk.
- Familiarity with US GAAP, IFRS, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Experience with tax reporting in M&A contexts and Pillar 2 implications.
