Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Remote must be based in the UK
Salary: Up to £175,000 base + equity

We are partnered with a high-growth fintech business that delivers payment and financial infrastructure solutions to the travel and mobility industry. The platform supports digital disbursements and prepaid card issuing across multiple markets and operates under Mastercard and Visa scheme memberships. The company is backed by institutional investors, has rapidly scaled across global markets, and is now strengthening its leadership team to support the next phase of growth.
Role Summary
As CFO, you will take ownership of all financial operations, with a strong focus on regulatory reporting, card scheme compliance, and strategic financial planning. This is a key leadership role suited to someone with deep experience in payments, issuing, and prepaid card programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead core financial functions including FP&A, budgeting, cash flow management, and forecasting
- Own all regulatory reporting and ensure full compliance with UK and international financial regulations
- Oversee Mastercard and Visa scheme relationships, including economic modelling and fee optimisation
- Support the business prepaid and issuing operations with strong financial governance and controls
- Manage the audit process, investor reporting, and due diligence as the company scales
- Contribute to long-term strategy, funding plans, and equity structuring in collaboration with the CEO and board
- Build and lead a lean, high-performing finance function aligned with company growth
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience & Expertise
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with 10+ years of senior finance experience
- 5+ years in a CFO or Finance Director role within fintech, payments, or issuing
- Deep familiarity with Mastercard/Visa scheme operations, settlement, and fee structures
- Experience in prepaid cards, e-money issuing, or card programme management
- Strong regulatory reporting knowledge FCA, EMI, safeguarding, reconciliations
- Proven experience in supporting scale-ups through Series A/B+ funding stages
