Position: Senior Residential Children\’s Home Support Worker Location: Ipswich, Suffolk Job Type: Full-time – 42 hours per week including sleep-ins and waking nights (where required) Salary: Starting from £30,685.20 (depending on experience) Eleven 11 Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client. They are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join their team at a residential children’s home in Leiston. Our client provides residential services for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, in a therapeutic and homely environment. Their fundamental aim is to provide a safe, supportive, and enriching environment where young people can thrive and reach their full potential. They are committed to helping develop their physical, emotional, and social skills and to building the confidence young people need to succeed. Requirements • Experience leading and supervising a team • Experience in residential childcare • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner • A passion for working with children and young people • Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and responsibilities • Ability to remain calm and professional in crisis situations • Excellent communication skills • Full driving licence • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it) • A strong commitment to putting the needs of children, young people, and their families first Key Responsibilities 1. Take a lead role in ensuring the care and welfare of each child in placement 2. Provide guidance and support to support workers 3. Supervise designated staff members and document this appropriately 4. Raise any concerns with the Registered Manager Qualifications & Experience Required: • Driving Licence and access to a car • Right to work in the UK (our client is not able to offer sponsorship) • 1 year of experience working with children Preferred: • 1 year experience in a children’s home environment • Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare To apply please call us on (phone number removed) or apply online to (url removed)
