Forklift Production Operator Our client, a Global Packaging Manufacturer, is currently seeking Forklift Production Operator to join their team. This is a full time temporary position, based in Norwich. Working the below alternative shifts: Early Shift 6am – 2pm Late Shift 2pm – 10pm EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE * Willingness to learn new skills. * FLT Counter Balance Licence required * Want to work in a team environment. * Able to manage their own time and workload efficiently. * Reasonable level of communication skills. JOB PURPOSE: * To Assist in the day to day running of the can lines operating seamers, palletisers slitters. * Adhering to customer requirements within the manufacturing process recording relevant information on time and quality sheets for audit purposes. * Carrying out required checks in accordance with our quality processes and ISO standards. * To Assist in the production of Component and cap manufacture to meet customer and quality standards recording relevant information in accordance with quality and ISO standards. * To Assist in running of Flex label machines to meet customer and quality requirements, recording relevant information in accordance with quality and ISO standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS: * Pallitizer operator, effectively load correct number of cans and layers per pallet ensuring customer designs not mixed and using correct labelling and administration. * Seamer operator – effectively load correct rings and Ends into hopper to correct bill of material, clear wrecks if required – generally assist line crew with running of line including housekeeping duties. * Flex line Operator – Ensure correct materials/customer specifications are met- load/wrap and handle application. * Cap/Rectangle press operation to meet correct specification and planning requirements. * Can repack, to alternative customer requirements. * Ensure Production equipment/areas and workstations are clean, tidy at all times, floor scrubber used in departments with painted floors. * 5 s Project participation – cleaning/painting, sort materials. * Quality – reworking of defective material, cleaning, doping, sorting and repairing. * Assist in production areas as directed. * Communicate any issues to direct supervisor as and when they happen. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: * Ensure that all materials are located in correct areas in accordance with our fire regulations. * Fork trucks must be checked and signed off before each shift (If trained) * Good housekeeping within the area of work. * Abide with site Health and safety requirements, actively participate (required PPE to be used at all times dependent on job function/task).
