Managing Consultant – Operations at MacGregor Black

Are you an experienced procurement leader with FMCG experience?

Do you have a proven track record in creating robust buying strategies and governance systems?

Are you skilled in identifying process improvement opportunities and building high performing procurement teams?

MacGregor Black are partnering with a FMCG business on the search for a Head of Procurement. This is a perm role based in Luton.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the focal point of Procurement within the business and demonstrate subject matter expertise alongside strong functional leadership, managing the procurement strategy.
  • Develop and maintain business wide end to end spend process and governance through appropriate policy and procedural controls.
  • Collaborate across the business to develop purchasing systems and business process, understand individual departmental needs.
  • Represent the business in all procurement contract negotiation, creating robust contracts and protecting the interests of the organisation.
  • Manage all supplier relationships, focussing on key suppliers to maintain open dialogue and develop strong relationships.
  • Identify supply weaknesses and deviations in economic conditions and protect supply with contingency.
  • Drive cost control and cost saving opportunities, reporting on spend across all categories.
  • Review all current suppliers for suitability and develop an approved suppliers list.
