Job Description

Solar Electrician – Job Overview\\n\\nWe are working with a well-established renewable energy company based in London who specialize on all aspects on energy saving measures, Including Solar PV on domestic & commercial properties, ASHP’s and Insulation.\\n\\nThey are looking for fully qualified experienced Solar Electrician to join their team and be responsible for Installing Solar PV on private domestic & social housing properties. You will need to be fully qualified with your 18th Edition, City & Guilds Level 3, Solar PV Installation qualification and having your 2391 Test & Inspection would be advantageous but is not essential.\\n\\nWithin the role, you will work in a two-man team alongside a Roofer/Panel Installer, installing Solar PV systems on private domestic & social housing properties within London to begin with and then some work being allocated in the midlands area. You will work as a team to complete installations, with the roofer installing and fixing the panels and running the cables through, which the electrician will then wire up and commission the system.

Most systems range between 6-12 panels and some jobs will have a battery storage system in addition.\\n\\nRoles and Responsibilities\\n\\n * Installing and commissioning solar PV systems\\n\\n * Supporting integration of Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)\\n\\n * Wiring and connecting Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) (Preferred but not essential)\\n\\n * Working closely with our heating and mechanical teams\\n\\n * Ensuring all installations are safe, compliant, and completed to a high standard\\n\\nQualifications and Skills:\\n\\n * NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent\\n\\n * 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations\\n\\n * Previous experience with renewables – especially solar PV, ASHP & MVHR\\n\\n * ECS/CSCS card (desirable)\\n\\n * Full UK driving licence\\n\\n * A proactive attitude and ability to work independently\\n\\nSalary Package\\n\\n * Salary £35,000 – £45,000\\n\\n * Company Van / Fuel Card\\n\\n * Sick pay\\n\\n * 25 days annual leave plus, paid bank holidays\\n\\n * Private Health Care\\n\\n * Free Parking onsite\\n\\n * Pension Scheme\\n\\n * Training Opportunities – PDR Appraisal programme
