Low Carbon Recruitment Ltd are currently working with a well-established Solar PV installation company who are seeking a permanent Solar PV Electrician to carry out Solar PV installations in the Southeast, the Midlands and Southwest of the UK. The company has been established for over 20 years
As a Solar PV electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of new build solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in accordance with relevant industry regulations and internal standards.
You will be working on new build properties using Viridian & G.S.E solar panels. Full training will be provided for this if required.
The company have been installing PV systems for over 20 years, and they aim to make each install as simple as possible for their Engineers. All sites are technically surveyed prior to the installation starting, all scaffolding and required infrastructure will be set up prior to the team s arrival, and all materials are delivered to site with some surplus to keep as spares/ van stock.
You will only have 2-3 installations per day, once the installations are complete, your day is finished. This means if you have smaller systems and complete them all by 1pm, you can go home but will still be paid for a full day.
Solar PV Electrician Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services
- 18th Edition
- 2391-52 Inspection& Testing of Electrical Installations
- Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems (City & Guilds 2399-13/14 or equivalent).
- AM2/SJIB Gold Card or ECS card (Electrician or Approved Electrician grade).
- CSCS or ECS Health & Safety certification.
- Working at Height training and relevant H&S awareness (IPAF, PASMA, Manual Handling
