The Job
- Develop and execute a sector-specific acquisition strategy for commodity traders and remittance businesses.
- Build a portfolio of high-value clients with tailored payment and liquidity management solutions.
- Understand and address sector-specific risk, compliance, and operational challenges.
- Establish trusted relationships with CFOs, Treasurers, and Heads of Operations across the commodities and remittance space.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and client servicing.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across other product lines.
- Deliver consistently against revenue, client acquisition, and sector penetration targets.
- Maintain disciplined pipeline management and reporting through CRM tools.
- Lead negotiations and commercial discussions with institutional rigor.
The Profile
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 7 yearsβ experience within corporate banking, trade finance, institutional payments, or financial services, with a strong emphasis on B2B client management and revenue growth.
- Proven track record of working directly with commodity traders, FX brokers, money service businesses (MSBs), and remittance operators, providing tailored financial solutions to complex and highly regulated industries.
- Deep expertise in payment flows, liquidity management, and settlement structures, including real-time settlements, treasury solutions, and cash management services across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks (such as AML, KYC, CDD) and operational compliance requirements relevant to payments, remittances, and trade finance sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to originate, negotiate, and close complex commercial deals, with a strong understanding of client risk profiles, counterparty risk, and sector-specific nuances.
